About Two Tonne Tasmania
Two Tonne Tasmania began in early 2013 when kind yields allowed young winemaker Ricky Evans to nudge into the tightly held Tamar Valley. An opportunity arose, he grasped it, and TTT began, yes, with a couple of tonne of Pinot Noir! A simple and literal name, a reference and reminder of what they are all about; 'Small Parcels, Big Love'.

The TTT style is purposeful, with the aim to facilitate a situation where intervention is not necessary. Ricky believes that with care and attention in the vineyard, and precise harvest decisions, they are most of the way to achieving the TTT style. The rest is nurturing.

Ricky was a finalist in the 2016 Young Gun of Wine, and took home the People’s Choice Award.


RN72 - A Wine Journey (by tram) to the Alps

It’s on again! Three wine bars in one afternoon, along the Number 72 Tram Route. A day full of adventure, discovery and amazing wines await the lucky few who secure a ticket to this special Melbourne Food & Wine Festival event.

Guests will assemble at Milton Wine Shop in Malvern to collect their ‘Ski Pass’ containing a MyKi card and lift pass with information on the tasting journey that awaits.

After Champagne and oysters at Milton, guests will hop on a tram and head to Toorak Cellars for Burgundy and bangers. The final stop will see guests enjoy the mountain wines of the Jura and Savoie regions paired with cheese and charcuterie at The Alps in Prahran.

Join us at The Moon for an intimate sit-down tasting with Theo, the son of pioneering wine producer Elizabetta Foradori. Wines, snacks and discussion are included.

Adored worldwide, the amphorea-aged wines of Foradori exemplify the land and history of the region of Trentino in the far North of Italy. Focusing on the traditional varieties of Teroldego, Nosiola and Manzoni, Foradori works to preserve the vital forces of the original fruit throughout the transformation from grape into wine. She aims to evoke a perception of its birthplace in the wine as well as to whom drinks it; it enters in harmony with the food and creates a wholesome drink that gives a sense of well being.
