Whether it’s biodynamic New World booze, or a traditional Grand Cru from the ancient vineyards of Burgundy, it makes no difference to us.
What matters is that the wines that we sell taste of where they’re from. We concentrate on producers who make wines with honesty and transparency, where clearly representing the terroir is favoured over what kind of style the wine should be.
We feature around four hundred bottles, with about twenty available by the glass. There’s a particular focus on the Jura, Savoie and Burgundy, regions at the foothills of the European Alps – hence our name.
Besides fermented grape juice, we have a selection of beer in cans or on tap, as well as selected spirits which tie into our ethos.
Our food menu is tight, but appropriate - cheese, charcuterie, toasties and small plates which sit perfectly alongside a glass (or bottle) of something special.
